Boy Scout Troop 425 80th Anniversary SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2006

Yesterday, Chelsea's Boy Scout Troop 425 celebrated over 80 years of service to the community. At the opening ceremony at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds, the Troop received tributes from Mayor Ann Feeney and State Representative Pam Byrnes.Chelsea resident Brad Bowersox, Scout Executive with the Great Sauk Trail Councilnoted that less than 2% of Boy Scout troops last for 80 years. Troop 425 along with the other Chelsea-based Boy Scout troops are an important part of this community. These boys perform hundreds of hours of community service projects in our area every year.
